TEBOWMANIA
Denver and the rest of the Nation is quickly becoming flooded with TEBOWMANIA!!!
Tebow has been on fire over the past few weeks winning 5 out of 6 games against very decent opponents such as the Jets, Chargers, Raiders whilst going down to the much improved Detroit Lions.
The Broncos last week let Kyle Orton go and finally decided to back Tebow to lead the Broncos as starting QB. Tebow seems to be enjoying the new responsibility of starting QB and will be hoping the Broncos can continue to win games.

PACKERS & LIONS 5-0
If we think back to the start of the season and think of who will be 5-0, we may all agree on the Packers, but not so much the Lions.
Detroit have stunned everyone with their 5-0 start to the 2011/12 NFL season.
With Stafford connecting to Johnson, aka "Megatron", suddenly the Lions have a serious offense with many threats. Their Defense has improved considerably this year and caused Cutler and the Bears O-line some serious trouble on Monday night.
After all the heartache the Lions fans have endured over the previous seasons, 2011/12 and the future appear very promising.
This week they face the 4-1 San Francisco 49ers whom have also started the season very well. It will be a very interesting game but you just can't go past Stafford and the Lions after recent weeks.

PATRIOTS CUT PRO BOWL SAFETY MERIWEATHER & RB SAMMY MORRIS
The New England Patriots have cut Pro Bowl Safety Brandon Meriweather and veteran RB Sammy Morris trimming their roster to the 53 man limit.
Meriweather, 27, played in 64 consecutive games for the Patriots after being selected in the first round (24th overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft. He logged 261 total tackles and 12 interceptions and was named to the Pro Bowl the past two seasons.
Morris, 34, was on the bubble after the Patriots drafted Shane Vereen in the second round and Stevan Ridley in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft. They will join BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Danny Woodhead in New England's backfield.
Morris joined the Patriots in 2007 after four seasons with the Buffalo Bills (2000-03) and three with the Miami Dolphins (2004-06). He was selected by the Bills out of Texas Tech in the fifth round of the 2000 NFL Draft.
Morris' release caps a four-year Patriots run in which he appeared in 47 games, rushing for 1,486 yards and 12 touchdowns. He led the Patriots with 727 rushing yards and a career-high seven touchdowns in 2008.
The Patriots also cut wide receiver Brandon Tate, a 2009 third-round draft pick who made 10 starts last season and finished with 24 receptions for 432 yards and three touchdowns. He returned 41 kickoffs for 1,057 yards with two scores. Tate could feel very unlucky after being shown the door after solid performances on the returns last year and popping up for a few crucial catches throughout the season.

JOHNSON & TITANS AGREE TO 4 YEAR $53.5M EXTENSION
The holdout appears to be over!
Chris Johnson and the Tennessee Titans agreed Thursday to a four-year, $53.5 million contract extension with $30 million guaranteed, ending the three-time Pro Bowl running back's holdout.
NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora reported the new deal will keep Johnson under contract with the Titans through 2016. Johnson will take home $13 million in 2011, a massive bump from his $800,000 base salary -- $1.065 million with previously earned incentives -- that he was scheduled to earn this season. Johnson's $30 million guaranteed will come during the first three years of the deal, and he will make $31 million during the first three years, a league source told La Canfora.
"He'll sign tomorrow and take his physical and be ready to start practicing," Titans general manager Mike Reinfeldt said before Thursday night's preseason finale against the New Orleans Saints. "It was a tough negotiation, but both sides gave some, and we got it done."
Titans' fans will be relieved to have heard the great news of Johnson's signing and looking forward to the 20111/12 season.

EX AFL PLAYER SCOTT HARDING TO DEBUT FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII
Ex Brisbane Lion and Port Adelaide footballer Scott Harding will make his American College debut on Sunday afternoon on ESPN.
Having played 50 games in the AFL, Harding has been working hard to make it big in American football. In a new role for Aussies playing gridiron, Harding will start as the Kick Returner and Punt Returner for the University of Hawaii on Sunday.
Harding has the potential to become a valuable pick up for the Warriors if given the chance to play in the slot. With a lot of pace and agility, Harding could be compared to Wes Welker or Julian Edleman of the New England Patriots.
Hopefully Harding can break the lines on the return and take one to the house in his debut game for the University of Hawaii.

CHRIS BRYAN CUT BY JETS
Chris Bryan has been cut by the New York Jets after the Jets opted to sign TJ Conley ahead of the Aussie Punter.
Bryan appeared to have an early lead in the punting competition, but Conley gained steam and may have sealed the deal with a strong performance last night against the Giants. Conley had a net average of 43.7 yards, with a long of 58 yards, compared to Bryan's net average of 35.7 yards.

VICK'S LIFE CERTAINLY BACK ON TRACK
Vick and the Philadelphia Eagles agreed Monday to a six-year contract that again makes the Pro Bowl quarterback one of the highest-paid players in the NFL. NFL Network's Michael Lombardi reported the contract is worth $100 million, according to a league source, and NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora also cited a league source in reporting that $36 million is guaranteed.
Vick has come a long way since spending 18 months in federal prison on dogfighting charges. He led the Eagles to the NFC East title last season, was the starting quarterback in the Pro Bowl and was the Associated Press' NFL Comeback Player of the Year.
Vick, 31, joined the Eagles in 2009, and played sparingly as the third-string QB behindDonovan McNabb and Kevin Kolb. Vick started last season as the backup, but he forced his way into the starting role with his exceptional performances after Kolb was hurt during the season opener.

BENGAL'S RB BENSON TO SERVE JAIL TIME
Benson said he will surrender to authorities Oct. 17, which is the Monday of the Bengals' bye week.
"This was a difficult decision for Mr. Benson," said Sam Bassett, the running back's attorney. "His priority right now is to get back to work and put these legal matters behind him."
Benson's jail time could be significantly shorter than the sentence. He could be given credit for any time served when he was arrested, and state law requires inmates be given two days' credit for every day they are rewarded for good behavior. Jail overcrowding also could shorten Benson stay.
But for now, the Bengals must make plans to be without their leading rusher. They declined comment Monday.
WELKER INSISTS HIS NECK IS "OK"
Patriots WR Wes Welker has stated his neck is "OK" after injuring it in the 34-10 loss to Detroit.
Pats fans would have been a bit worried to see Welker pull up sore after he laid a tackle in an attempt to stop an interception return.
It appears there is nothing to much to worry about and hopefully Welker will recover quickly and be raring to go for week 1 of the regular season.

TITANS' JOHNSON TO MEET GM IN NASHVILLE
Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson has flow to Nashville to meet with GM Mike Reinfeldt. With the Titans looking to secure the services of the best RB in the league, things seem to be finally progressing as we edge closer to the start of the regular season.
"Flying out to Nashville tonight to meet with Joel and the GM in the morning to see which way were going. Could get better or worst," Johnson wrote on his Twitter page.
He has two years left on his contract and is scheduled to make a little more than $1 million this season instead of the $850,000 originally scheduled, thanks to the Titans' revisions last season. Johnson, meanwhile, has maintained since last year he would like $30 million guaranteed in his new deal.
The Titans have said they will make him the highest paid running back in NFL history, but want him to report first before accelerating talks. Wednesday's meeting might offer a way around that demand.
The Titans, who wrapped up training camp a day early Monday, were not available for comment Tuesday with players given the day off.
